         First Star Bank, S.S.B. filed its original charter on November 14, 1905.  The first bank was located at 201 South Main Street in downtown Bremond.  In March of 1989, we purchased our first branch in Calvert, Texas, which is located downtown at 620 Main Street.  On March 9, 1998 First Star Bank, S.S.B. was excited to announce its relocation to our new bank building located at 109 South Commerce, Highway 14, in Bremond.  On June 9, 1999 we were pleased to open our second branch in Franklin, Texas, which is located on Highway 79.  On December 5, 2005, we opened our third branch in Hearne, Texas, which is located at 1308 South Market.

 Our Bank has seen many changes in the past 100 years.  We have gone from hand written ledgers to producing computer image statements…computing interest manually to having computer driven transactions.  All these changes have been for the good of our customers.
